Call for Abstracts: NACNDC & 19th Joint Scientific Health (JASH) Conference 2025

The Ministry of Health, in partnership with Makerere University College of Health Sciences, is pleased to announce the National Annual Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases Conference (NACNDC) and the 19th Joint Scientific Health (JASH) Conference 2025 under the theme:
“Unified Action Against Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases”

Conference Tracks

  • Integrated Diagnostics, AMR, and Epidemic Readiness – Strengthening diagnostic systems for integrated care, AMR, and outbreak response.

  • Digital Health, Data, and Innovation – Harnessing digital tools, AI, and data for improved health delivery and surveillance.

  • Community Engagement for Disease Prevention and Elimination – Advancing health gains through local leadership, equity, and participation.

  • Health System Resilience and Emergency Preparedness – Building flexible systems to sustain essential care during crises.

  • Policy, Financing, and Cross-Sector Integration – Mobilizing sustainable financing and multi-sector collaboration to achieve UHC.

  • One Health – Integrated responses to agriculture, environmental, human, and animal health risks.

  • Care, Treatment, and Rehabilitation – Developing person-centered care models blending biomedical and cultural practices.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Max length: 300 words

  • Structure: Background, Methods, Findings, Conclusion

  • Specify: Preferred track and presentation type (oral or poster)
