Summary of Overall Project Objective: The Overall Project Objective is to enhance the Sickle Cell Disease associated Non Communicable Disease Research Capacity in Uganda.
What are the major goals of the project?
The major goals of the project are to;
- To train a multi-disciplinary team of research scientists with expertise to assess the magnitude; pathophysiology, interventions for prevention, treatment, and control of SCD and related NCDs across the lifespan.
- To increase SCD associated NCD research capacity across the lifespan.
- To strengthen local and regional partnerships for advancing SCD and associated NCD research training and advocacy.
