About the Conference
The Makerere Bioethics Conference (MakBC 2026) is a premier scientific meeting organized by the Makerere University Biomedical Research Centre (MakBRC) together with the Bioethics Resource Center, Makerere University.
The conference provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, ethics committee members, regulators, healthcare professionals, academics, students, and policy makers to exchange knowledge and explore emerging ethical issues shaping global health research.
This year’s conference focuses on strengthening ethical research practices amid rapidly evolving scientific innovations and technological advancements.
