The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH), U.S. Post Award Grants Policy and Management Workshop taking place on February 22-24, 2022. As a result of the COVID-19 outbreaks in the states and globally, the workshop will be held as a virtual event. The training sessions offered will focus on NIH and NIAID post award grants funding policies and requirements, funding opportunity announcements, resources for managing a NIAID award, how to prepare project progress and financial status reports, information for grantees subcontractors, human subjects administrative requirements and information about NIAID financial systems reviews. In addition to the formal presentations, there will be interactive small group sessions or “Mini-workshops” to address specific topics and questions that you may have. This three-day workshop will be highly informative, interactive, and a unique opportunity for investigators, research administrators, and business officials to work one-on-one with NIAID staff. NIAID-funded project scientists and grant administrators are urged to attend and/or send representatives to this training as it will help, administrators, principal investigators at non-U.S. institutions, and U.S.-based grantees with foreign subprojects better understand NIAID and NIH funding policies. Past participants of previous workshops noted that the information provided was extremely useful, and they greatly appreciated the face-to-face conversations with NIAID funding policy leaders, grants management specialists, and program officers.
