The Makerere University Non-Communicable Disease (MakNCD) Research Training Program invites applications for PhD Degree Fellowships in NCD-related research.
The program aims to strengthen research capacity in epidemiology, data science, and implementation science to support evidence-based interventions, policy, and NCD control in Uganda. The training is based at the Makerere University College of Health Sciences, in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University, and funded by the NIH Fogarty International Center.
The fellowship provides up to three years of full-time doctoral training, including structured mentorship and advanced research skills development.
The call primarily targets early-career researchers interested in building independent research careers in non-communicable diseases.
