Dr. Cornelius Sendagire
Cornelius Sendagire is a Cardiac Anesthesiologist/Intensivist at Uganda Heart Institute where
he provides a myriad of services which include Perioperative care, Critical care and Emergency
care for both Pediatric and Adult cardiac patients.
He is also a Lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care, School of Medicine,
Makerere University College of Health Sciences.
He has a keen interest in anesthesia and critical care training, academia and research. He has
published work in critical care medicine, safety in perioperative medicine and simulation
medical education to mention but a few. In a period of four years he has had 10 publications
to his name. He supervises postgraduate theses and provides mentorship to both postgraduate
and undergraduate students. He has co-pioneered various training courses like the Postgraduate
orientation training for new residents and simulation instructor’s course (SMiLE).
