CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The College of Health Sciences Makerere University (MakCHS) in conjunction with the Uganda National Association for Community and Occupational Health (UNACOH) announces the 15^th Joint annual Scientific Health Conference scheduled to take place from 21^st – 23^rd September 2022, at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kampala.

Conference Theme: Makerere @100: The role of Health Professions’ Education in strengthening Health Systems, Research, Global and Community Health for Economic development

Abstract Guidelines

General guidelines:

• Abstracts must be in ms word (.docx).
• Each abstract not to exceed one page.
• Margins:  Select Normal i.e. one inch on top, bottom and sides.
• Font: Arial.
• Spacing: single spacing.
• Alignment: Justified.

 

Specific section guidelines 

Study title (maximum number of words is 20, font size 12, bold, central alignment) 

Author names (font size 10, not bold, central alignment) 

Institutional affiliations of Authors (font size 9, not bold, central alignment) 

Name and functioning email and phone contact of corresponding author (font size 8, not bold, central alignment).

 

Body of abstract should be formatted as follows:

• Font: ‘Arial’
• Font size: 11 only.
• Single spacing between lines
• Body of abstract not to exceed 300 words. One Table or Figure could be included, but will contribute 50 words to the abstract word count.
• Abstract Body must have: BACKGROUND, OBJECTIVES, METHODS, KEY RESULTS, CONCLUSION, AND RECOMMENDATIONS.
• The above section headings must be written in Upper case (capital) letters, Bolded and italicized.
