Flavia Namiiro, MBChB, MMed (Pediatrics & Child Health) is a Medical Doctor based in the Neonatal Unit at Mulago National Referral Hospital for the passed 10 years. She is Honorary Lecturer at Makerere College of Health Sciences, Department of Pediatrics & Child Health and in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Attained both undergraduate and postgraduate training at Makerere University, Kampala 2004 and 2011 respectively. Undertook a course in Maternal and Perinatal Health at the American-Austrian Foundation, Vienna (2013) and AIN SHAMS University, Cairo (2017). She is actively involved in neonatal health offering clinical care, teaching, mentorship and training at the Hospital, University, at national and international level. She is involved in clinical research (individually and collaborations), with special interest in the area of prematurity.

She is a member of the Uganda Medical Association, Uganda Pediatrics Association, National Neonatal Steering Committee, Associate Member of the Association of Obstetricians & Gynecologists of Uganda, Vocational Training Team and Volunteer with Rotary International.
